April Fitness and Wellness Support Group

Yep, that’s right – the theme of our April Fitness and Wellness Support Group is We BEE Family! 

Why is this? It’s because our groups are like a big fitness family… a bunch of workout buddies who are there for each other.

April Fitness –> Ladies who are far from perfect but who are ready to do their very best every single day.

–> Ladies who know the value of having group accountability and support.

–> Ladies who would bend over backwards to lift you back up when you’re feeling down and make sure that you stay on track.

So tell me – What’s holding you back from your fitness goals?

Fear of failure is one of the reasons that I hear the most… 

You may have started something in the past, you tried to do it on your own, or maybe you have even have tried some fad diets or some quick fixes that have made promises that they didn’t deliver and left you skeptical and hesitant to try again.

Well – I’m here to tell you that you should never let fear hold you back from starting again and doing things the RIGHT way.

I did it, and I know you can too!

After I had my son Parker, I was unmotivated, tired, too busy, and I honestly felt very isolated as a stay-at-home mom.  

I knew what I WANTED to do and what I NEEDED to do for my health, but it was so much easier to just sit back and feel blah.

Working out, eating healthy, and getting in shape is hard! 
I’m not going to sugarcoat it.

But do you know what else is hard? 

Feeling miserable. 
Feeling uncomfortable in your skin. 
And not feeling healthy.

I went from feeling blah to feeling amazing. Went from feeling depressed and tired to having energy and spunk. I went from feeling bloated and chubby to feeling toned and strong.

Choose your hard! 

I promise you, that from my experience, I have learned that the highroad of doing it the right way, exercising daily, meal planning, eating healthy, getting enough water in, and being consistent with it is a way better form of hard than sitting around feeling sorry for yourself.

Our group is starting April 4 and I am looking for 20 ladies who are ready to get up, get moving, and get to feeling better than they have felt in a very long time – Or maybe even better than they have ever felt!

Easter Shakeology No-BakesEaster Cheat Treat Alert!

Easter is a time for celebrating the resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. But for some reason, it has also become a time that we are expected to give our kids sweets, candy, and other unhealthy treats.

Now I’m not going to say that I never give my kids candy, but I do feel that many of the holiday traditions that our society has placed upon us have definitely been a challenge for parents like us who are trying to give their kids healthy choices regularly.

Here’s a great recipe for Easter Shakeology NO-Bake cookies that’s quick and easy and I bet your kids will never realize that they are not having a processed, sugary treat.

This is also a great way to use your Shakeology on the days where you might not feel like having a shake or even when you simply need some extra calories.

These no bake cookie balls make a great and healthy snack and you will constantly be going back for more!

Mix together with clean hands…

– One heaping scoop of Vegan Chocolate Shakeology

– 2 cups old fashioned oat meal

– 1/4 cup dried berries

– 1/4 cup yellow raisins

– 3/4 cup of pastel m&m’s

– 1/4 cup honey

– 2 tbsp chia seeds

– 1/4 cup sunflower seeds

– One Cup (or more) of Natural Peanut Butter – Keep adding more little by little until it sticks together well when you roll it.

These are SWEET but when eaten in MODERATION they aren’t too bad!

Crockpot Chicken Burrito Bowls

You seriously have to try these super healthy Crockpot Chicken Burrito Bowls!!! 

This picture does not do this dish justice but it was SOOOO good that just I have to share it!!!

Here’s how to make it…
.
🔹1 bag of frozen boneless skinless chicken tenderloins
🔹1 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes
🔹1 cup chicken stock
🔹2 teaspoons chili powder
🔹2 teaspoons salt
🔹1 teaspoon cumin
🔹1 cup brown rice
🔹1 15-ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
🔹1 cup frozen corn

Other toppings you can use: shredded cheese, chopped cilantro, Greek yogurt, diced avocado, salsa, hot sauce, diced green onions, shredded lettuce

Combine the chicken breasts, diced tomatoes, 1/2 cup of chicken stock, chili powder, salt, and cumin in a crock pot.

Make sure the chicken is covered, and add additional stock if needed. Cover with the lid and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours.

Remove the lid and add the rice, black beans, frozen corn, and the remaining chicken broth.

Replace the lid and continue cooking on low for another 3 to 4 hours. Check the rice periodically in the last hour of cooking, stirring once or twice to make sure the rice cooks evenly and adding more chicken broth if the mixture seems dry.

Cooking is done when the rice is tender — if the rice is done while there is still liquid left in the crock pot, remove the lid and cook on high to let the liquid evaporate.

→ Total cooking time from start to finish is 6 to 8 hours.

Use two forks to shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces. You can do this either in the slow cooker itself and then mix it into the rice, or you can transfer the chicken to a cutting board if you prefer to keep it separate. Taste the burrito mix and stir in more salt or other seasonings to taste.

Serve your burrito bowls with a selection of the toppings above and BEE sure to watch your portion size as you will be VERY full VERY quickly!!
